We’re so excited to have you stay at Aroha, our little slice of paradise on the stunning island of Taveuni. The name Aroha, meaning “love” in Māori, was chosen by the previous owners from New Zealand, and we’ve kept it to honor the resort’s history. Our hope is that you feel relaxed, cared for, and completely at home during your stay.

We’re Kathryn & Rod, your Aussie hosts, and we run this resort with a lot of love—and a little mischief! Keeping us company are our playful resort dogs, Coco and Louie, and our curious cat, Reena, who may pop in to say hello during your stay.

As passionate travellers ourselves, we know what makes a stay truly unforgettable—genuine hospitality, thoughtful details, and experiences that leave a lasting impression. With this in mind, we’re elevating Aroha to new heights, creating a place where every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and immersed in the beauty of Taveuni.
